HOW TO BE SEEN ON GOOGLE

Appearing high on Google search is one of the number one ways that new fans can discover you & your music on the internet. It’s great to be present on all social media platforms but it’s not the only way you can be discovered. Google Knowledge Panelis a great way of highlighting your work in a quick glance. It’s a very simple tool that will help you look professional as an artist.

What is a knowledge panel?

Knowledge panels are information boxes that appear on the right side of your screen in the desktop search results when you search for entities (people, places, organisations, things).

The panel is meant to help you get a quick overview and information on a topic you’re searching for (based on Google’s understanding of available content on the web). You can find there text, images and other information – all powered by Google’s Knowledge Graph

If you are releasing music, your own Knowledge Panel probably already exists as Google collected information from your streaming platforms. The panel should show your recent releases, pictures and videos associated with your name.

As an independent artist our public appearance and impact is important, so as to draw the maximum audience to our creative output, therefore we recommend checking this feature out and influencing your own Knowledge Panel by suggesting changes to the content.

Visit Knowledge Panel Help Page to find out step by step how to Get verified on Google

https://support.google.com/knowledgepanel/answer/7534902?hl=en

If you’re a verified representative of an entity on Google, you can manage the entity and suggest edits to the knowledge panel. Once you’re verified, you’ll find a box to suggest edits at the top of the organization’s knowledge panel.
