Chandos Arms Jazz presents the best of UK jazz on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month, and their audience have enjoyed a unique series of dazzling gigs by many of the major names in British Jazz, ranging from Liane Carroll and Ian Shaw to John Etheridge, Jim Mullen, Martin Speake and Ed Jones.
Every night is different and showcases talented guests backed by immaculate house band Just East tackling a mix of original compositions and off beat arrangements of jazz standards. Music mutates from delicate ballads through swinging hard bop classics to contemporary blues, rock and world music concoctions.
Our mission has always been to give our audiences a great night out… the finest music, a friendly welcome, delicious good-value home-cooked food… an ever-changing musical programme in an intimate setting.
