Crée à Mâcon en 1994, le Crescent a considérablement évolué pour devenir une association culturelle à la dimension locale, nationale et internationale. La structure presque familiale qui accueillait son public dans les petites caves de la Rue Rambuteau à Mâcon, est aujourd’hui une association dynamique et reconnue.

L’association évolue et rapidement accueille des musiciens en résidence, propose des ateliers pour les musiciens amateurs ou en voie de professionnalisation, des jam où tous les passionnés de jazz peuvent confronter leur pratique.Le club devient rapidement une des scènes incontournables du jazz de façon nationale et internationale, et prend une ampleur qui lui permet de gagner la reconnaissance des professionnels, de la municipalité, des acteurs culturels locaux, des collectivités régionales et des institutions nationales.

Le Crescent propose actuellement une programmation exigeante, avec une véritable volonté de privilégier une programmation audacieuse et la plus large possible. Depuis plus de dix ans la ville de Mâcon permet au Club d’organiser un festival de jazz sur trois soirées gratuites en juillet, et qui a rassemblé près de 6000 spectateurs lors de la dernière édition.


Created in Mâcon in 1994, Crescent has evolved considerably to become a cultural association with local, national and international dimensions. The almost family structure which welcomed its public in the small cellars of the Rue Rambuteau in Mâcon, is today a dynamic and recognized association.
The association evolves and quickly welcomes musicians in residence, offers workshops for amateur musicians or in the process of professionalization, jams where all jazz enthusiasts can confront their practice.The club quickly becomes one of the essential scenes of jazz so national and international, and is gaining momentum to win recognition from professionals, the municipality, local cultural actors, regional authorities and national institutions.

Crescent currently offers demanding programming, with a genuine desire to prioritize bold programming and the widest possible. For more than ten years the city of Mâcon has allowed the Club to organize a jazz festival on three free evenings in July, and which gathered nearly 6000 spectators during the last edition.
