Join Guildhall School of Music & Drama for this online evening course exploring the development of musical ideas within jazz from 1942-1959. Through guided listening and analysis of solos and compositions, you will explore the various new styles during this period, which include bebop, cool jazz and hard bop, as well as some of the significant recordings that foreshadowed what was to come.
The course will be taught by Miguel Gorodi, a London based jazz trumpet and flugelhorn player, composer and teacher, and Brass Faculty Chair for the Jazz Department at Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
