The jazzmeile is an annually recurring festival. Mostly it lasts from the beginning of October until the beginning of November. In recent years, the Jazzmeile Thuringia has gained considerable renown. Indications are the increased inquiries of domestic and foreign musicians after performances as well as the steadily increasing popularity of the spectators. Last time it was up to 22,000 per year.
Thuringia’s Jazz Mile is a festival that is unique in terms of its duration, nationwide distribution and artistic standards. Also in its 17th year, the Thuringian Jazz Mile is under the patronage of the Thuringian Ministry of Education Science and Culture.
