About

The Old Anchor Inn Abingdon Oxfordshire sits along the River Thames on St Helen’s Wharf. The pub dates back to 1884 when its license was first granted. With an open log fire in the cosy snug, a beer garden and views of the river The Old Anchor is a fine place to be all year round.

We serve a selection high quality food to suit all tastes from starters to main meals alongside a selection of salads, baguettes and sandwiches.Music is prominent in the pub – we have a piano should you feel the urge to play. Regular visits by local bands plus a Folk Night on Sundays make for a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Aunt Sally is played at the pub and we are are a host pub for Abingdon and District Aunt Sally League. The pub has the facility to host private functions in a separate dinning room which is also used by local businesses as a venue for meetings.
